Not a silly idea, actually

For tourists who lose track of the time while on holiday these mats in the lifts at the Aqaba Gulf Hotel are just the ticket. However, I was a little worried by the sign outside which said "Do not use lifts in case of fire" [Jordan - Jan 2006]

On the path down to the public beach in Aqaba, Jordan. I presume they meant "No Camping"as I am sure some people must nod off in the sunshine. Another one I spotted was at Ali Baba's Restaurant where they had "Lamb Shops" available on the menu. [Aqaba, Jordan - Jan 2006]

If the gate is going to be "closed one hour before published time", let's say 6pm, then this gate has to close one hour before that i.e. 5pm, and since that fact is published on this gate it becomes the new "published time", and since this gate will close one hour before the published time, this gate has to close at 4pm, which means ....
