For tourists who lose track of the time while on holiday these mats in the lifts at the Aqaba Gulf Hotel are just the ticket. However, I was a little worried by the sign outside which said "Do not use lifts in case of fire" [Jordan - Jan 2006]

Friday is the Muslim Sabbath. They're reminding people not to miss mosque.
