Doesn't that make it a Camel?

[Albert Dock, Liverpool, UK - 3 May 2010]

Not strictly true ...

Information is currently available, the information that the help point is not yet operating. A clearer message would be, "Sorry, this help point not in service."

[North Wembley Station - 28 April 2010]

Opposite what?

Opposite what? The house opposite, I suppose.

[Rye, UK - 24 May 2010]

Nearly there

Only 40 yards to go.

Just a little late

"PLEASE NOTE

This tree will be felled shortly"

Do you think someone should point out to the Department of Environment that the "tree" the notice is attached to was felled some years ago and milled into a fence post.

[Paradise Nature Reserve, Cambridge, UK - 14 Apr 2010]

Mixed message

Not quite sure what Grant is telling the local voters here:

a) Vote for constancy by re-electing him.

b) Vote for change. (small text in corner)

No wonder the average UK voter is confused.

[Near Hatfield, UK - 18 April 2010]

Wonder what over

I wonder what the scaffold is on strike over? Better conditions - don't like being out in all weathers? Want thicker planks? Shinier poles? Perhaps it is simply tired of being walked over by those higher up?

Mind the Gap

If you have ever visited London, you will know the expression "Mind the Gap"; it is seen and heard at every Tube (metro) and railway station.

Well, you will be pleased to know that London Underground also provide an "Emergency Gap Jumper" at certain stations. This one is a Piccadilly Circus.

Just in case you ever need one ...

So low, you can't get over it

The sign saying "Danger Low Railings" is at least 9' (3m) above the point where you stand to read it.

[Whaley Bridge, UK 30 Aug 09]

Extremely thin

In fact on a lovely day like this it is almost invisibly thin.

[Hyde Park London 20 April 06]

Really?

I thought it would be fine to let them loose in this huge London shopping mall on their own. After all, what could possibly go wrong?

[Westfield, London]

Never realised they were dangerous

Still you can't be too careful can you?

[Roadside somewhere in the UK May 06]

N dangered species?

Is the world running out of Ns?

Snapped by Ken Lobb

Still on the eating theme

Carmel Summers never mentioned whether she stopped for "Beans on toast" or not.

Aptly named

Contributor says "We did not enter as we were too uncertain of what we would find."

And rightly so.

But, hey, it was northern Alabama ...

A digital theme?

Joe Baclava found the first one at a petting zoo in NJ.

The second one was sent with only a email address, which I am not going to post.

What if it is not OK?

Playing around on a new Win 7 PC I got this.

And what was the question anyway?

Sorry for the lack of posts

I blame it on the fact that the walkway at my local station was closed. Although, I note that No Access managed to pass this point at some time in the past.

[Willesden Junction Stn 23 Feb 2010]

Watch the spacing - again

The may be one of the largest shops for second-hand books but probably not the one of the largest bookshops that has had more than one owner.

[Alnwick]

2 against 1

I say we head left for the entrance.

[Pretty obvious where that one is]
